Why Creatine Became Part of My Routine

I used to think creatine was something only gym rats used to build muscle, but last year I learned about its benefits for the average person and have been adding it to my protein shakes ever since.


According to an Outside.com article, creatine was one of only four substances whose performance-boosting effects were supported by a reasonable body of evidence, as stated in a 2018 consensus statement on dietary supplements published by the International Olympic Committee. The others were caffeine, nitrate (as found in beet juice), and baking soda.
