Live an intentional life

Over the past couple of weeks, I have been listening to Deepak Chopra’s 21-day meditation experience, Desire and Destiny. The premise of the daily guided meditations is that what we focus our attention on, we cultivate in our lives, and that our desires are indicators of our destiny. Chopra indicates that we can open the door to our destiny by being clear and connected to our true purpose. In one of the guided meditations, he mentions that if you can dream it with intention, you can do it. In his book, The Seat of the Soul, Gary Zukav says: “Every action, thought, and feeling is motivated by an intention, and that intention is a cause that exists as one with an effect…we are held responsible for our every action, thought and feeling, which is to say, for our every intention." As we deal with the stresses and pressures of day-to-day life, it is easy to lose touch with our intention, and act and think in ways that are not always connected to what we want. Through visualization, we can tap into our deepest desires and learn to live with intention. Sit in a comfortable position with a tall spine. Close your eyes and bring to mind a dream that you desire. Picture the dream coming into clear view. Notice the details of who is with you, what is around you and how you feel. See yourself in the vision, and know that your vision will become your reality. Spend a few minutes focused on the details of living your dream. Share your dreams with our community by posting on our Facebook page or connecting with us on Twitter.
