Where Does the Time Go?

It's hard to believe only six weeks are left in 2025. Where does the time go? I recently read an article in Yoga Journal about Slowvember. By saying no to some commitments this holiday season, you may be able to slow down time a bit. If you're unsure how to slow down, the article offered some inspiration on how to participate in Slowvember. Here are some ideas:
Instead of working late, set aside a whole evening for yourself.
Take a deep, slow breath before you reply to that email.
Lean back from the laptop when you have a minute between meetings, and instead of checking your email, close your eyes and interlace your hands behind your head or back.
Pause the podcast and turn off Slack notifications so you can focus on completing a project.
Listen when someone shares their current angst, and instead of offering advice, say, "Tell me more."
Challenge yourself to sit still for three minutes in a single yin yoga pose between crossing items off your to-do list.
We've had a wonderful fall in Colorado, so I've been spending a lot of time outdoors, hiking, trail running, and mountain biking. Last week, I was in Costa Rica attending a writing retreat. Usually, when I'm in Costa Rica, it's to lead a yoga retreat, so it was a special treat to participate and have everything planned for me. Spending an entire week focused on writing was a delight, and I enjoyed connecting with my fellow writers.

This year, I've taken time to reflect on how my business is doing and whether it's still effective in its current form. One area I want to grow is the membership option, which is why I'm happy to offer a 28-day free trial period. Sign up on our homepage for a monthly or annual plan to take advantage of this offer. As part of your membership, each month you'll get a guided meditation, a one-hour yoga class video, and an in-depth article on various wellness topics. You'll also receive a discount on Firefly's popular New Year Restorative Yoga and Journaling Workshop in January.
