Mindset is a topic that I tackle in the first module of Firefly's Holistic Wellness Program. Why? Because a fixed mindset is one of the biggest barriers to improving your overall wellbeing. Our minds change reality based on what we believe. What we think affects our health. When you believe you can change, and get curious about why it's important to you to evolve and grow, you invite in the magic. I've always loved this quote from Don Miguel Ruiz's book, The Four Agreements: "go inside and listen to your body, because your body will never lie to you. Your mind will play tricks, but the way you feel in your heart, in your guts, is the truth.”
Our minds are influenced by the inputs from our environment and surroundings. But, the beauty is that the answers you seek are already within you. You just need to block out the noise. I've been using yin yoga for years to help clients go inside, to tap into the layers of self. By doing so, you can better access what makes you "you," which is unique from anyone else.
